Jamie Welch

I graduated from Creighton Prep High School, and Creighton University with a BA degree in Journalism/Art. I worked as an international media professional, and business and travel brought me to 20 countries & five continents.

Working in print houses I learned the "hands-on" while working as an art director and editor for large corporations & published a monthly newspaper. While the art director for car and parenting magazines in California and Omaha, I was a publications specialist for the Omaha Chamber of Commerce. I taught English one year in Korea & earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, then spent a year in Chile working as a reporter and photographer. In Miami I was the marketing manager for the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, implementing a marketing plan that included TV and on-line marketing. As a writer and editor for international yachting magazines in Ft. Lauderdale I created a report quoted in the New York Times. Recently I wrote a story on the BP oil spill that was published in the Pensacola Independent News. I work full-time as an Editor, Writer and Designer for Emergency Medical Services Corporation in Florida.
